To kick off our unit about the states of matter, the first graders took the ice cube challenge! Each first grader was given an ice cube in a plastic bag. The challenge was to melt the ice cube quickly while keeping it in the plastic bag. Our creative first graders found different ways to use their body heat to melt the ice cubes!
