We started off our Author's Day with an engaging presentation from children's author Johanna Hurwitz. Ms. Hurwitz has written more than 70 books for children, and today she spoke with us about her own writing process and also shared some stories with us. The children were excited to meet a published author, and can't wait to read more of her books! Later in the day we had the opportunity to meet with Class 3B to share our writing. The first graders were excited to read their graphic novels to 3rd grade buddies, and the 3rd graders were eager to share their poetry anthologies. I hope that your children shared their graphic novels and other published pieces with you at home!
