1B: Ancient Sumerian Schools

Thank you to Avigayil's father, Dr. Shalom Holtz, for coming to teach us about ancient Sumerian schools!  Dr. Holtz taught the children about what schools (called "Tablet-Houses") were like 4000 years ago, and then taught the children how to write their names in Cuneiform.  The children had the opportunity to practice writing their names on clay tablets just like children would have used in ancient times.  The children enjoyed making comparisons between our school and ancient schools, and also noticed some significant differences!  Thank you to Dr. Holtz for this exciting and educational follow-up to our school study!
