Today we read Waiting Is Not Easy by Mo Willems as part of our study about characters. We discussed the main characters' actions in the book and used those actions to make inferences about the characters' personality traits. The students inferred that Gerald is impatient, worried, and gets angry easily. During independent reading time, the students were challenged to notice information about characters in their independent reading books.
