1A and 1B: Tenafly Nature Center Trip

The first graders had an amazing time at the Tenafly Nature Center!  We learned about invertebrates and the students had the opportunity to search for common invertebrates such as millipedes, spiders, and beetles under leaves and rocks.  The first graders also learned about pond ecology and found many interesting pond creatures, including tadpoles, dragonfly larvae, and small fish.  After we finished at the nature center, the children enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch at the Keter Torah sukkah.

The Tenafly Nature Center has advised that all parents look over their child's body to check for ticks. Please check your child from head to toe--paying close attention to the scalp, exposed areas such as ankles, but also all crevices.
